What an AI listing generator does
Instead of typing every field, you give the AI a photo or a product name and it drafts the listing for you.
- Title. It writes to eBay's 80-character limit and leads with the words buyers actually type.
- Item specifics. Brand, model, size, colour and the other structured fields eBay expects.
- Description. A clean, readable HTML description rather than a wall of text.
- Category. A sensible category suggestion so the item lands where buyers look.
Why item specifics matter on eBay
eBay's search ranks listings partly on how complete their item specifics are. A listing with brand, model and size filled in shows up in far more filtered searches than a bare title.
Filling specifics by hand across hundreds of items is tedious, which is exactly why people skip them and lose visibility. Generating them is where AI earns its place.
What to check before you publish
- Accuracy. AI can guess a model number wrong. Confirm anything a buyer would return the item over.
- UK spelling. You want colour, not color, and metre, not meter. A tool built for UK sellers should default to this.
- Condition honesty. The AI describes what it sees. You know whether the box is battered or a part is missing.
- Price. A generator writes the words. You still set a price that matches sold comps.
